Back Patch 3 for McAfee Agent Extension 4.0 released Along with Patch 3 for McAfee Agent 4.0 McAfee released Patch 3 for its extension for ePolicy Orchestrator 4.0. This resolves several issues. They are listed below. Resolved issues1. Issue: When the Selected Packages List on the Update Task Builder contained only one item, the Next button was never available. (Reference: 373724) Resolution: The Next button is now active when an item is selected regardless of the number of items in the Selected Packages List. 2. Issue: Engine Update tasks could be created without selecting DATs Updates. (Reference: 405381) Resolution: Creating an Engine Update Task now requires DAT updates to be selected. 3. Issue: Damaged or missing McAfee Agent Policy and Task values would create “Unexpected Exceptions” when displayed in the ePolicy Orchestrator console. (Reference: 438002) Resolution: When the ePolicy Orchestrator console displays McAfee Agent Policies or Tasks it now replaces damaged or missing values with appropriate default values. 4. Issue: Creating new Agent Policies or Distributed Repositories resulted in random Super Agent Repositories becoming enabled in existing policies, contrary to the default setting. (Reference: 444744) Resolution: Agent Policies or Distributed Repositories are now properly enabled or disabled in existing policies, as indicated by the default setting. Note: This release does not repair existing Agent Policies or Distributed Repositories that were previously set incorrectly. 5. Issue: The Proxy policy “Use these settings for all proxy types” process did not properly copy the HTTP proxypolicies to the FTP proxy policies. (Reference: 446748) Resolution: The HTTP polices are now properly copied to the FTP policies. 6. Issue: The Packages List on the McAfee Agent Update Task page would occasionally fail to display Packages when the Internet Explorer version 8 “Display all websites in Compatibility View” setting was enabled. (Reference: 491076) Resolution: The Packages List on the McAfee Agent Update Task page now consistently displays the list of available Packages. Known issuesKnown issues in this release of the software: Issue: Existing Agent tasks (Deployment, Update, etc.) do not run on Windows 7 systems. (Reference: 502585, 504670) Workaround: The tasks that support Windows 7 need to be updated and saved in the ePolicy Orchestrator console to run on Windows 7 systems. |
